Pho Dance

Pho dance is dance that comes from Aceh. The word comes from the word Pho peubae, peubae means meratoh or lament. Pho is a call or a servant of the people's reverence to the Almighty God that is Po teu. When the king of the deceased is called Po Teumeureuhom.
This dance brought by the women, usually done on the first death and the great kings, which is based on appeal to the Almighty, blow off steam because of the sad mishap overwritten or lament the birth of sorrow-sorrow accompanied mourning wail. Since the growth of Islam, this dance is no longer ditonjolkan at the time of death, and has become the art which is often displayed in the customary rites.
