The Barongan dance was a dance reog that was danced in Malaysia to be precise in Johor and Selangor, and was the people's Javanese dance that was carried when leaving home. This dance became the controversy because of being stated as the Malaysian cultural inheritance in the official Kementrian site, Kesenian and the Malaysian Inheritance. In the site that be the same the description the performance story reog this was depicted as the Sulaiman story of the Prophet with Animals that could speak, where having the tiger and a peacock bird that interacted by dancing. This caused the people's anger Ponorogo and the Indonesian sentiment of the people's negative with Malaysia. When investigation was about this expressed that the cultural inheritance that was known as the "dance barongan" in Malaysia evidently imported dadak the peacock, that was the symbol of the main attraction of the dance, from Ponorogo.
